Tyler the Creator is officially taking his creativity to Netflix’s Big Mouth as the producers of the adult-animated series announce he’s going to be playing the character, “Jesus” on the show.

The announcement was made in a post on the official Twitter account of Big Mouth with a picture of the artist and the character he is set to play. The post reads “In the name of the father, the son, and Tyler, the Creator 🙏 @tylerthecreator plays Jesus in Season 6!

Big Mouth first debuted on Netflix in 2017. The adult-animated series returns for its sixth season on October 28th. The Netflix sitcom was produced by Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett and centers on teens Kroll and Goldberg’s upbringing in suburban New York, with Kroll voicing his fictional younger self. The raunchy and surreal animated comedy takes us through the wilds of puberty while embracing the grandeur of the human body and mind.

The Californian rapper isn’t new to voice-over artistry. He previously starred as Blitz Comet and Big Trouble in Cartoon Network’s “Regular Show.” He also played the Chief of police and Liborg in FXX’s “Axe Corp” and recently appeared as a guest in the latest season of “Beavis and Butthead.”

2022 has been a good year for the Call Me If You Get Lost crooner. Earlier this year, his recent tour for the project drew in just about $33 million, beating out J. Cole’s “The Off Season Tour” as well as the 2021 “Millennium Tour.” He also bagged the award for Best Rap Album for the aforementioned project during the 2022 Grammy Awards. He went on Instagram to show appreciation to the people involved in the project giving a special shout-out to DJ Drama who he said was “f**king so important to rap music. “

Earlier this month, Tyler was also spotted on set at the music video shoot for Pharrell’s “Down In Atlanta.” Although, we are yet to know the role Tyler’s Character ‘Jesus’ embodies, we can’t wait to see Tyler bring his alter ego on Netflix’s Big Mouth.
