“Harry’s House” is the newest album on top of UK charts

Harry Styles’ new album ‘Harry’s House’ has been commanding the UK charts since it was released on 20 May 2020. The album is proving to be the fastest-selling album of 2022 up to now. The 28-year-old singer, songwriter and actor is the third-ever artist to command the whole Top 3 of the singles chart having outsold the rest of the Top 40 combined in the vinyl-album chart.

‘Harry’s House’ sold 113,000 copies to get as far as No 1 and was reached through streams, downloads and physical sales – surpassing the rest of the Top 40 combined in the vinyl chart. The new album is reported to have reached 98 million streams on Spotify within its first 24 hours. During an interview he recently gave the pop star artist said that in his plan to make the album he thought it would be fun to make an album called ‘Harry’s House’.

The album’ s reception on global music streams have surpassed his expectations as he thought it would be “this small thing”. Justin Bieber in 2016 and Ed Sheeran in 2017 are the only music artists to have achieved such a record before.

‘Harry’s House’ was released by Columbia and Erskine Records and is the third studio album by the English singer and songwriter. The album features pop-funk, pop rock, synth-pop and R&B. Billboard announced that only four LPs have earned at least 500,000 equivalent units in one week over the last 18 months. The list that also includes Taylor Swift’s ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’, Adele’s 30, and Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’Harry’s House is supported by two singles; ‘As it Was’ and ‘Late Night Talking’
