Kendrick Lamar has finally announced his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers, planned to be released on the 13th May 2022. It will be the last album Lamar will release on Top Dawg Entertainment, the label that has released all of Lamar’s projects.
In a fashion similar to Michael Jordan’s comeback letter, Lamar announced the album on his website, oklama.com.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is the follow-up to 2017’s Damn, which won a Pulitzer Prize for Music and Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammys. The new album will be Lamar’s last for Top Dawg Entertainment, the label run by Anthony Tiffith that has released all of his albums so far.
Meanwhile the rapper also featured on Baby Keem’s ‘family ties’ which won this year’s Grammy for Best Rap Performance.
