Manhood Academy Global is taking action to tackle the rising number of missing Black children in the UK.

Urgent Concern Over Missing Black Children
A youth charity, Manhood Academy Global (MAG), is organizing a conference to address the alarming increase in missing Black children across the UK.

Davis Williams, the founder of MAG, describes the situation as a “terrifying reality.” He stresses that the community can no longer ignore the growing number of Black children who are disappearing.

Williams’ Heartfelt Concern
“The number of missing Black children breaks my heart,” Williams shared with The Voice. “It’s a constant reminder of how vulnerable our young people are, especially those from marginalized communities. This crisis pushes me to act with urgency.”

Conference for Missing Black Children Set for October 29
The Missing Black Child Conference will be held on Tuesday, October 29th, at Brent Civic Centre. The event aims to bring together families, professionals, and experts to address the crisis.

Supporting Families Affected by Missing Black Children
Williams hopes the conference will provide practical tools for Black families, offering them support during the difficult time of a child going missing.

He explained, “Too many families lack the resources and support to handle the nightmare of a missing child. We want to bring experts and families together to tackle this issue and open up much-needed dialogue between communities.”

Systemic Failures Impacting Missing Black Children
Williams links the rise in missing Black children to “systemic gaps” that make it harder for communities to respond effectively.

“It’s heartbreaking to think of families facing the fear and uncertainty when their child goes missing,” he said. “These rising numbers highlight the unpreparedness of our communities to address these tragedies.”

Empowering Families and Holding Systems Accountable
The conference will feature experts discussing ways to empower Black families and hold systems accountable for their responses to missing Black children.

Williams emphasized, “Our goal is to raise awareness, collaborate with experts, and create practical solutions to prevent children from going missing. We want to equip families with tools to safeguard their children and challenge the systems that have failed too many.”

He hopes the event sparks long-term change, concluding, “We need more than just conversations – we need real action to protect our children.”
