Live from GenB TV Music’s Brick Lane collaboration with Sparks, cultural commentator Amardeep Sura caught up with rising artist Koder, who opened up about his personal philosophy, creative journey, and the vital role of community. From meticulously curating every detail of his life to envisioning sold-out arenas, Koder shows that with enough vision, creativity becomes a currency of its own
“You’re Never Broke if You’ve Got Ideas”
Koder wasted no time diving into the mindset that drives everything he does.
“You’re never broke if you’ve got ideas,” he told Amardeep. “That means I wake up and bend reality—customizing everything from my clothes to my music to how I connect with people.”
His creative vision reaches far and wide, anchored by a bold and specific goal: performing at London’s iconic O2 Arena.
“I had a moment there with another artist that felt so real… I want that magic to exist in my own career. That’s the goal.”
But for Koder, success doesn’t stop at personal milestones—it’s also about uplifting others.

Creating Space for Young Talent
Beyond the stage and studio, Koder is passionate about giving back. He shared his desire to build spaces in local communities that empower young people to explore their creativity and grow into the best version of themselves.
“I want to create places in the community where young people can grow, be creative, and evolve. Somewhere they can feel seen.”
The Original Creative Hubs
Amardeep also asked about the role of community staples like corner shops and chicken shops—places that often double as unofficial creative hubs.
“Those were the original creative hubs,” Koder explained. “It wasn’t just about grabbing food—we held meetings there. We planned. We dreamed. Those spaces mattered. Not everyone has a Soho House membership—sometimes the best ideas come after six wings and chips.”

What’s Next: The ‘Geronimo’ EP
Before wrapping up, Koder teased his next major release: Geronimo, an EP slated for release at the end of June.
“I’ve got two remixes on there with some dope artists,” he said with a grin. “We’ll leave those names as a surprise.”
As an artist, innovator, and voice of the community, Koder is crafting a career defined by imagination, integrity, and a deep sense of purpose. As Amardeep Sura’s conversation with him revealed, the O2 Arena isn’t just a dream—it’s a destination well within reach.
