Love Island has taken the world of TV by storm since it began broadcasting in 2015. One thing everyone agrees with this reality TV show is that it keeps the audience hooked to the screen. The show has become a huge phenomenon for the stunning looks of its cast members, personality, lavish villa, or the overall gameplay.

The Love Island UK eighth series is returning next week and bring hope to 11 Islanders looking for a soulmate that they can spend the rest of their lives happily together. The popular ITV2 dating show is back next week and the contestants will enter the villa in Majorca, Spain with hope to finally find true love they have been seeking to be happy and fulfilled.

This year singletons include Gemma and former England striker Michael Owen’s daughter, a dancer and first deaf contestant, a paramedic, a senior microbiologist, a hotel waitress and a nanny.

Just like her father Michael Owen who played for Liverpool, Real Madrid and for England World Cups squads in 1998, 2002 and 2006 Gemma Owen is looking forward to be competitive in the glamorous villa. She said: “My dad was a professional footballer but I have my own goal and don’t want to be known just as a daughter of someone”. Gemma also added that there is not even a single picture of my dad on my Instagram account.

The 19-year-old international dressage rider and businesswoman was quoted as saying that she always go for what she wants and plan to enter the villa in Majorca to look for someone whom she likes and is not engaged since she doesn’t want to break another girl heart.

Since she was 11-year-old Gemma Owen has been competing for Great Britain in dressage and is determined to not mess up something for someone who is in a proper relationship.

Love Island 2022 is set to showcase the talent of the show’s first deaf contestant from Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The 23-year-old model and dancer Tasha Ghouri who has a cochlear implant said that her dating life is a “shambles” and hope to find “the one” she has been looking for.

The dating show has been highly successful and influential in British popular culture and were hosted by Caroline Flack for the first five series (2015-2019).

Season 8 will be available to stream daily on 9Now from June 8, after being fast-tracked from the UK.
