This year has been off to a great start for Fireboy DML as the Nigerian artist is joining the long list of Nigerians to hit 100 million streams on all music platforms.

Fireboy DML  has dropped a music video for his newly released single “Bandana” featuring Asake.

Their debut collaboration whose YouTube link is at the end of this article is simply a smash that is on Fireboy DML’s album Playboy.

In the new video that is making a huge trend in Nigeria and across the world, the two artists are going beyond expectations by showcasing their different capabilities.

“Bandana” was directed by TG Omori and is named after a scarf.

Both artists are seeing wearing scarves in the video. Fireboy DML pairs his scarf with a black leather jacket while Asake is dressed in a designer suit and covered in jewelry.

Playboy album was released on August 5th and contains a 14-track album including his viral hit singles “Peru” and “Peru remix” featuring Ed Sheeran.

The energy in this song is something else and Fireboy DML’s fans worldwide can’t get enough of it.

Nigerian musicians and directors are being praised as a result of this song for their collaborative spirit which goes a long way in promoting the Nigerian music industry.

The industry is growing fast and many musicians are rising on a global scale.

According to Statista,  Nigeria’s music revenue grew from 26 million U.S. dollars in 2014 to 34 million U.S. dollars in 2018, and by 2023 the revenue is expected to amount to 44 million U.S. dollars.

Let’s recall that both Fireboy and Asake are signed by YBNL Nation, a record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide.
