This weekend is that time of the year when people across the UK enjoy the final summer bank holiday before autumn begins.

The August bank holiday is believed to have been introduced in 1871 to give bank employees time to enjoy the cricket season.

The holiday was moved to the last week of August in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland in 1965, however, Scotland chose to keep the original date.

The long weekend offers many of us the chance to enjoy a little extra time off work to just relax and spend quality time with our family and friends.

Several festivals are happening across the UK and for those music lovers here are five music festivals that will certainly help you enjoy the 2022 August bank holiday.
