A few days after breaking the Beatles’ record of the artist with the most top five hits on the Billboard hot 100, Drake is up with another record again as he takes the crown of the most Shazamed artist of all time.
The Music search service made this announcement through a comprehensive list of noteworthy moments in its history to commemorate its 20th anniversary. According to Shazam, Drake is officially the most Shazamed artist of all time with over 350 music Shazams to his name across songs he has either been on or featured. His most popular track is the Wizkid, and Kyla-assisted ‘One Dance‘ with more than 17 million Shazams.

Drake has always been a constant appearance atop music charts. From becoming the first male solo artist in history to debut atop the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously twice with his ‘Honestly, Nevermind‘ album and the single, Jimmy Cooks to earning the spot of the most top five hits on the Billboard hot 1oo.
It appears that when it comes to topping charts, Drake is always going to be in our faces. As far as music making is concerned, the Toronto rapper puts in his best and it does pay out well. In a guest appearance on Nicki Minaj’s Queen radio, he discussed the hard work he puts into his music and how he tries to have fun while at it. “One of the best feelings I have in my life is completing a song or project. And by the way those things are painful as well. A lot of nerves, a lot of confidence wavering. But I feel like I’m reaching a new level of fun. I’ve reached a new level of comfortability where I want to try things. Like this last album, I put out something I wanted to do to challenge myself,” he said.
Shazam originally launched in August 2002 is a music search service that allows people to identify songs by simply tapping a button that detects the title of the song playing in the environment and allows a portion of the song to play afterwards. Over time, it has become a widely used app for music lovers around the world surpassing a total of 200 million active users.
The new feat of becoming the most Shazamed artist is another win for Drake and further solidifies the Toronto rapper as one of the most talented and revered artists in the music industry.
