Jamie Foxx’s health scare last year captivated the entertainment world, leaving fans and media alike concerned and curious about the talented entertainer’s sudden hospitalization. The singer, actor, and “Beat Shazam” host has largely kept the details of his medical complication under wraps—until now.

In a recently surfaced video shared on social media, Foxx is seen speaking candidly to a group of people outside a restaurant in the Phoenix area. He recounts the events leading up to his hospitalisation, shedding some light on the mysterious incident.

“Look, April 11th last year, I had a bad headache and asked my boy for an Advil. Next thing I knew, I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything,” Foxx said, explaining the sudden onset of his condition. He continued, “I was in Atlanta, and my sister and daughter took me to the first doctor. The next doctor pointed to my head and said, ‘There’s something going on up there.’”

Despite sharing these personal details, Foxx refrained from revealing the exact diagnosis given by the doctors.

When Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, first announced his hospitalisation in April 2023, she posted on Instagram: “We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Although updates from his family assured the public that Foxx was in stable condition within a month, speculation continued to swirl on social media. Some theorized that something more severe had occurred, with a few even falsely claiming that the Oscar winner had died.

Now, as Foxx continues to recover and focus on new passions, fans can finally begin to understand the gravity of his health ordeal and appreciate his resilience and determination to bounce back.
